Canvas AR Studio/AR for Shopify Wall Art Stores
AR for Shopify Wall Art Stores
A shopper looking at a 70 × 100 cm canvas has one question your product page cannot answer: will it be too big for that wall? Our Shopify app answers it. The shopper taps a button, points their phone at the wall, and the piece appears there at its true size.
What the shopper sees
A button on your product page. Tapping it opens the camera, and the artwork appears on the wall in front of them — at its real size, anchored to the wall, staying in place as they step back or walk past it. Nothing is downloaded and no account is created. On a phone that cannot do AR, the page falls back to a 3D preview the shopper can turn and inspect, with the size written out.
Installation is a theme block
Installing the app does not place the button by itself, and this is the step most merchants get stuck on. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize, open a product page, press Add block and pick "Wall preview", then save. No theme code is edited and nothing is written into your theme files — removing the block leaves no trace.
Sizes are read from your variants
The app scans your products and works out the dimensions from variant names: "50x70 cm", "24\" x 36\"", "A3", "Ø60", and sizes buried inside longer names such as "Natural Wood / 30x40 cm". What it cannot read, it does not guess — it asks you. That matters more than it sounds: 24×36 inches is 61 × 91.4 cm, while 24×36 centimetres is a quarter of that, and a viewer that guesses wrong creates the exact problem it was meant to solve.
Size names like Small, Medium, Large
Tell the app what they mean once. Enter the width and height for a name and every product using it opens up at the same moment — and products you add later are understood without asking again. In our own live test, a single "Medium" entry opened three variants across three different products.
How it differs from Shopify's built-in 3D
Shopify lets you upload a 3D model to a product and will display it. Two things are different here. First, producing the model is still your problem in that setup, and 3D modelling per artwork per size is where most stores stop. Second, the default AR view places objects on the floor. Wall art is not a floor object: our viewer anchors the piece to the wall and it stays there while the shopper moves around the room.
Plans and billing
Billing runs through Shopify, so the charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice and we never see a card. There is a free plan to try it on real products before deciding, and paid plans are separated by how many models you need — a model being one artwork in one size. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial. If you cancel, the models you already built stay online, so your storefront does not break; only new ones stop being built.

Frequently asked questions
I installed the app but the button does not appear
The theme block is probably missing. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize, open a product page, press Add block and pick "Wall preview", then save. After that, check that the variant's size is confirmed and its model has finished building.
Does the shopper have to install anything?
No. It runs in the phone's browser — Chrome on Android devices that support Google's AR services, Safari on iPhone and iPad.
Does it change my theme code?
No. It installs as a theme block that you add and remove from the theme editor. Nothing is written into your theme files.
What counts as one model?
One artwork in one size. A product offered in three sizes uses three models, because what the shopper needs to see is exactly the difference between those three.
What happens when I hit my plan limit?
Models you already built keep working. New sizes are not built until you upgrade. Nothing disappears from your storefront.
I sell on my own site, not Shopify
Then the embed route applies: we produce the models and you add a one-line embed to your product page. It works on any platform that accepts HTML, WooCommerce included.
Try it on your own artwork
Send one piece and its size — we will build the model and send you a link to open on your phone.
